Volunteers needed

The Senior Companion Program and the Visiting Nurse Association are seeking volunteers for the Need a Break program, which provides companionship for older adults and respite service for their caregivers. Training will be provided to 35 volunteers in New Castle and Kent counties.

The VNA also is seeking volunteers to assist with its annual Flu Prevention Campaign, which runs from October through mid-November. Participants will help nursing staff in the set-up and coordination of flu immunization clinic sites at local retail, grocery and drug stores, registering participants for flu shots. There is a training program provided.
