SAS/Tutor: Online help for new and experienced users
Learn SAS at your convenience using SAS Institute's SAS/TUTOR online training software. SAS/TUTOR consists of a series of modules whose content ranges from introductory to very detailed SAS programming topics. The software is accessible on Strauss when you use an X terminal.
The modules contain lessons with questions, practice exercises with immediate responses, quizzes for self-testing, case studies and optional reviews. You control your own instructional path and the time you spend on each topic. Menus, a course index and suggested learning paths enable you to scan for selected topics.
You may work entirely online or supplement the online material with printed, optional course notes. Copies of the course notes may be borrowed from the Reference Library (014 Smith Hall) and copied. The Information Technologies license permits you to make copies for any University-supported activity.
The SAS/TUTOR Online Training Library includes:
Printed tutorials
These printed tutorials may be purchased at the University Bookstore (lower level):
"Introduction to UNIX"
"Introduction to Pine: An Electronic Mail Program"
Technology on UDTV Channel 52
Programming includes the same high-quality training tapes used in many of the classes offered on campus. Original programming produced at the University, and especially designed for our network, will air repeatedly during the first few weeks of the semester. Additionally, various PBS series with updates on technology and education will air throughout the semester.
