Karl W. Böer, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Physics and Solar Energy, served as U.S. representative at management meeting of WISTA, the science and industry park in Berlin Adlershof. He also presented the remarks at the 70th birthday of Prof. Klaus Thiessen at an event organized by GOS, the society for applied optics, opto-electronics, quantum-electronic and spectroscopy, in Berlin and presided over an initial meeting for the creation of an editorial board for Survey of Semiconductor Physics.
