Newark Police are investigating a kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman that occurred at 7:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18. The victim was near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Academy Street when she was confronted by two males and was forced into their car. She was driven to a location on Ogletown Road where she was sexually assaulted.
The suspects are decribed as: A white man in his late 20s, 6 feet to 6 feet-1 inch tall, thin build, with dirty blond hair and no upper teeth, wearing a black/blue headband, black cut-off jeans and a T-shirt, and a black man 25-30 years old, 5'11", 160 lbs., with black hair in a crew cut, a gold front tooth and facial stubble, wearing a dirty T-shirt and blue cut-off jeans.
The suspects' vehicle is described as a late '70s to early '80s, two-door, gray car with extensive rust and a missing trunk lock.
