Phone repairs

All administrative telephone repair requests should be called into the Help Center at 831-6000. Starting Aug. 25, all student telephone repairs should be called into maintenance at 831-1141. Students may dial 5-1141.

Other requests pertaining to new phone lines, relocation of existing lines, accounting, calling cards or other telephone services can still be directed to 831-2411 or e-mailed to telephone-services@udel.edu

Telephone Services office has moved from Pearson Hall to 192 South Chapel St.

Library hours

Through Aug. 31, the Morris Library is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays; closed Saturdays and Sundays. Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

The Morris Library and Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Morris Library will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Special Collections and Exhibition G allery will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Regular fall semester hours begin on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at which time the library will be open 8 a.m.-midnight, Mondays through Thursdays; 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturdays; and 11 a.m.-midnight, Sundays.

Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery hours during the fall semester are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays, and Wednesdays through Fridays; and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Blue Hen football

The 1997 Fightin' Blue Hens football season opens Sept. 6 at New Hampshire. Other away games include visits to Northeastern, Sept. 27; Boston University, Oct. 4; James Madison, Oct. 18; Massachusetts, Oct. 25; and Lehigh, Nov. 15.

Home games will feature Villanova, Sept. 13; West Chester, Sept. 20; Richmond, Oct. 11; William & Mary, Nov. 1 (Homecoming); and Connecticut, Nov. 8 (Parents' Day).

Open house

Faculty members are invited to an open house at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the Morris Library. Participants should meet in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room. All interested academic professional staff members also are welcome to attend. More details wil l be available soon.
