Coaching for the future

UD skating coach Jeff DiGregorio, shown coaching Sara Wheat, received the Future Generation Coach Award from the Professional Skaters Association at its annual conference in Nashville in May. DiGregorio, who has been coaching at UD for approximately 10 ye ars, received the recognition for his coaching technique and for bringing skaters up through the ranks.

Currently, he is coaching Wheat, the intermediate Junior Olympics bronze medalist; Jaime Hurd, the juvenile Junior Olympics bronze medalist; and Eastern pairs champions, Jeff Tilley and Ingrid Goldberg. DiGregorio formerly coached world and U.S. senior la dies champion Tara Lipinski.

Delaware coach, Priscilla Hall Wampler, also was one of three coaches nominated for the national award.
