The University Library has received $210,000 from the fiscal year 1998 state of Delaware budget, through the Department of Education, to provide all 29 public high schools in Delaware with online access to full text magazines/journals and to Britannica Online.
Britannica Online contains the full 44-million-word text of the Encyclopedia Britannica, more than 1,000 additional articles not found in the printed set, thousands of complementary illustrations and graphics and hypertext links from articles to thousands of related Internet resources.
With this accessibility of this wide range of material, students will be able to prepare better for college entry and learn skills needed to work in an increasingly information-based, technological society.
