Linda Gottfredson, educational studies, gave testimony May 20 before the Constitution Subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee, U.S. House of Representatives, on the Department of Justice's involvement with the 1994 Nassau County Police entrance examination.

Stanley I. Sandler, Henry Belin du Pont Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been appointed through January 1999 to the National Research Council committee to evaluate and review alternate technologies for the demilitarization of assembled chemical weapons.
