Two students recognized for 4.0 grades
Julie Anne Fine (left) and D. Thomas Rutkowski were
recognized at Commencement exercises May 31 by Delaware Gov.
Thomas R. Carper (center) for achieving perfect 4.0
cumulative grade indexes in full-time study toward
baccalaureate degrees.
Fine received a bachelor's degree from the College of
Agricultural Sciences, with a double major in entomology
with a concentration in wildlife conservation, and in plant
and soil sciences, with a concentration in general plant
science, and a minor in biological sciences.
Coincidentally, four years ago, at New Student
Convocation held for entering students, Fine accepted the
class flag on behalf of the Class of 1997.
Rutkowski received his bachelor's degree in biological
sciences, with a concentration in biotechnology and a minor
in chemistry.
After graduation, he will enter the Ph.D. program in
biological sciences at the University of California, San
Francisco, where he will be studying molecular biology and
biochemistry.
