UD to offer classes in Middletown
Beginning this fall, the University will offer evening
courses at the new Middletown High School. The sessions will
be convenient for Delawareans living and working in southern
New Castle County.
The eight fall courses will be helpful for individuals
working toward a bachelor's degree and those seeking
professional development opportunities.
The fall 1997 courses include:
* "Written Communication in Business" (ENGL 312),
* "Western Civilization: 1648 to the Present" (HIST
102),
* "Introduction to Linguistics" (LING 101),
* "College Mathematics and Statistics" (MATH 114),
* "General Psychology" (PSCY 201),
* "Illicit Drug Use in America" (CRJU 120) and
* "Economic Issues and Policies" (ECON 100).
Classes are scheduled from 7-10 p.m. Four meet on
Tuesday and four on Wednesday evenings.
The new Middletown High School, located at 120 Silver
Lake Rd., contains the latest in computing and instructional
facilities. In addition, a public library is housed in the
complex.
An information night is planned in late June.
Individuals will be able to learn about UD's part-time
degree program opportunities, ask questions about the
courses and find out about services for adult students
through the ACCESS Center.
An on-site registration will be held at Middletown High
