Cooperative agreement
During a recent visit to Germany, Karl V. Steiner,
executive director of the Center for Composite Materials
(CCM), took the opportunity to finalize signatures on a
cooperative agreement between the Institute for Composite
Materials (IVW) at the University of Kaiserslautern and CCM
at UD.
Shown at the April 11 ceremony are (from left, sitting)
Manfred Neitzel, managing director, IVW; Steiner; Martin
Maier, research director for design, IVW; and (standing)
Klaus Friedrich, research director for materials science,
IVW.
This agreement formalizes the already strong links
between the two organizations, both among the world's
leading centers in composite materials research.
It also provides a framework for an increased exchange
of students and faculty members, collaboration in conducting
research programs and access to scientific publications and
to unique facilities and expertise.
