Lt. Gov. Ruth Ann Minner will open breakfast series

     Delaware's Lt. Gov. Ruth Ann Minner will give the first talk
in the University's 1996-97 Business & Management Breakfast
Series, scheduled for 7:30 -9 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3.
     Her talk, "How Business and Government Can Work Together
Effectively," will be held in Arsht Hall on the Wilmington
Campus.
     The series is sponsored by the College of Business and
Economics. Fee for an individual breakfast is $25 per person or
$21 if the participant is a member of the college's alumni
association.
     Cost for the full series, which includes six breakfast
lectures, is $125 per person. A corporate table for six persons
for the entire series can be reserved for $690.
     Other speakers in the Thursday morning series will include:
         Daniel P. Sullivan, UD assistant professor of
   management, who will discuss "Strategy at the Millennium:
   Control or Chaos" on Nov. 7;
         Former Delaware Gov. Pierre S. du Pont, who will
   present "Public Policy: Post-Election" on Dec. 5;
         Charles Reeder, president of Charles Reeder
   Associates, who will discuss "The U.S. Economy: 1997 and
   Beyond" on Feb. 13;
         Thomas L. Gossage, chairman and CEO of Hercules Inc.,
   who will speak on "Creating Shareholder Value: Is That All
   There Is?" on March 13; and
         Robert C. Cole Jr., president of the Center for Health
   Care Economics Inc., who will speak on "The Real Driver of
   Health Care Costs" on April 10.
