                            Student honored
     
     The UD Library Assembly of Professional Staff, in
conjunction with the Delaware Library Association, has named
Susan M. Golden the recipient of the 1997 UDLAPS/DLA Library
Student Assistant Scholarship.
     One award of $500 is granted each year after a
competitive application process. Golden is a 1996 human
resources graduate.
     The scholarship, which supports attendance at an
accredited graduate library education program, recognizes
library assistants who demonstrate outstanding student
service, a commitment to librarianship and leadership
potential.
