                   Faculty, staff, alumni at Borders

   UD faculty, staff, students and alumni will be
participating in several events in May at Borders Books in
Newark.
Scheduled presentations include:
  * 1 p.m., Sunday, May 4-cafe concert by pianist Melissa
    Schweisguth, Delaware '96 ;
  * 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 5- "Tales of Horror and Mystery
    from Delmarva" and book signing, Ed Okonowicz, public
    relations, from his newest book Presence in the Parlor:
    Volume 5 of his Spirits Between the Bays series;
  * 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 6- "Visions in Verse: Passions,
    Ponderings and Poetry," readings by graduate students
    in the Professional Theatre Training Program;
  * 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 12-book signing by Patricia
    Valdata, English, of her book Crosswind, a story of a
    woman finding herself through flying;
  * 4 p.m., Sunday, May 18-poetry and prose presentation:
    readings by student authors from UD literary magazine,
    Caesura; and
  * 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 21-discussion and book
    signing by James M. Jones, psychology, of his book
    Prejudice and Racism, dealing with the psychology of
    racism and prejudice in American society.
