relations printed materials and achievement/ research; Lane
McLaughlin, visual media design, Cornelia Weil and Mary
Hempel, public relations, first place award for
magapaper/tabloid, the UD Messenger; Ginger Pinholster,
public relations, and Keith Heckert, visual media design,
with Rebecca Herman, graphic artist, first place award for
public relations printed materials in a four-color magazine,
Beyond Bricks and Mortar; and Ed Okonowicz, public
relations, first place award in the fiction, short story,
book form category, In the Vestibule.
George F. W. Haenlein, animal and food sciences,
received the award of honorary editor-in-chief of the
international monthly journal Small Ruminant Research and a
distinguished service award from the International Goat
Association at its international conference in China.
Haenlein founded the journal, published by Elsevier Science
Publishers in Amsterdam, and edited it for nine years.
