Electronic Library Lunches scheduled on Thursdays
Four Electronic Library Lunches will be held this
spring. Sponsored by the University of Delaware Library,
these brown-bag, demonstration sessions highlight electronic
resources available on the World Wide Web in various
subjects.
Members of the University community are invited to
attend any or all of the lunches, which are held from 12:10-
12:50 p.m., on Thursdays, in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room,
Morris Library.
Reservations are not necessary; participants may bring
lunch. Call 831-2432 for additional information.
April 10-"The Greening of the Internet" Explore the web
and become more environmentally aware. Issues include
becoming involved and finding information about your local
environment. Demonstration host, Shannon Burchard,

April 17-"Surfing the Gold: Grant and Scholarship
Information on the Web" Find out how to use the web to
identify potential sources for grants and scholarships.

April 24-"Rooting Around the Web: Internet Resources
for Family History" The Internet is burgeoning with sites of
interest to those tracing their family histories, including
beginners' guides; mailing lists. newsgroups and chat rooms;
searchable genealogical databases; personal family pages;
genealogical and historical societies; and commercial
services. This workshop will explore some of the more
impressive sites and discuss what is and is not possible to

May 1-"The Virtual Workplace: Human Resources
Information on the Web" A look at information related to
current issues in the workplace. Explore the resources on
the web useful for professional and career development and
ways in which organizations are using the Internet as a
communication tool. Demonstration host, Julie Brewer,
