E-52 wins three drama awards
E-52 Student Theatre won three awards at the Delaware
Theatre Association's 55th annual state play festival March
8 at the Everett Theatre in Middletown.
The group won the Best Play award for its performance
of' Dentity Crisis by Christopher Durang, "a dark comedy
built around the follies and foibles of American
pseudopsychology," according to director and E-52 president
Jason Keeley. As winner, E-52 will represent the state of
Delaware at the Eastern States Regional Festival April 11-13
at Olean Community Theatre on the campus of St. Bonaventure
University in Olean, N.Y.
Keeley, who is a senior, also won the award for best
director, and senior Shawn Fagan was named outstanding actor
for the third year in a row.
Adjudicator was Gail Humphries of the Department of
Performing Arts at American University in Washington, D.C.
Louis Hirsch, admissions, is adviser to the group.
