           Annual WVUD Radiothon will also feature concerts
     
     WVUD, the campus FM station, will hold its annual
fundraising drive from March 14-23. In addition to the on-
air radiothon, the station has scheduled a series of live
concerts on the campus.
     All events will take place in Bacchus Theatre in the
Hen Zone of the Perkins Student Center. Admission to each is
$4 with UD ID and $5 for others.
     The Cutting Edge Concert, at 7 p.m., Friday, March 14,
will feature King James Version, Caterpillar, Licorice
Roots, Better Automatic and Fishstick.
     On Friday, March 21, the bands, Nero, Eldridge
Anisette, Cecil's Water and Daley, will perform. Doors open
at 7:30 p.m.
     A third concert, on Saturday, March 22, will feature
Plow United, Kill Quota, My Life in Rain, Street Sweeper and
Zen Guerrilla. Doors open at 7 p.m.
     Radiothon '97's closing event, also scheduled March 22,
will be Jam2, a late-night dance party hosted by the Club 91-
3 disc jockeys. Jam2 will be held in the Carpenter Sports
Building rear gymnasium from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Featured DJs
will include Bizzy Boy, Noj & Omega, Rated R and Doc B.
Admission is $3.
     In addition to these special events, the station will
offer such premiums as T-shirts, window decals, CDs, pens
and numerous other items as thank-you gifts for
contributions.
     Persons contributing $60 or more will receive the
"Dream Hour" premium, which allows the contributor to cohost
a radio program. "'The Dream Hour' works out to $60 for 60
minutes of radio," a WVUD spokesperson said.

     WVUD is operated by student and community volunteers.
