UD Baseball Camp

Mike Brey's UD Basketball School for Boys

Girls' Basketball Camp

Tubby Raymond's Fightin' Blue Hens Football Camp

Blue Hen Lacrosse Camp for Girls

UD MaxSaves Lacrosse Camp

Blue Hen Field Hockey Camp

* Description: For beginners and veterans, incorporating
  basic skills and concepts for the novice, while
  challenging the needs of experienced players and exposing
  them to college-level play and coaching. Grades 7-12.

Blue Hen Soccer Camp  for Boys and Girls

* Dates: July 21-25 and July 28-Aug. 1

* Description: Teaching in a relaxed environment, camp T-
  shirt, optional afternoon swim, indoor facility when
  needed, for boys and girls ages 8-17.

Volleyball Camp
* Location: Carpenter Sports Building

* Description: Improvement of individual volleyball skills,
  introduction of new techniques in offensive and defensive
  strategies. Staffed by college, high school and USA
  volleyball coaches, who will instruct participants on
  different styles of play. Regular camp, both weeks;
  beginner's camp, both weeks; college-bound camp, week one;
  and setter's camp, week two.

Junior Tennis Camp

* Dates: July 28-31 (I) and Aug. 4-8 (II)

  are for players of any level. The last camp is only open
  to high school tennis players.

Diving Camp

Percussion Camp

* Description: Students will rotate through individual
 sessions on marching percussion, jazz drum set, mallet and
 concert percussion and steel drums. Since the program runs
 during the same week as the Wind
Ensemble Camp, a joint concert will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday,
July 11, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont
Music Building.

Wind Ensemble Camp

* Description: Activities include large ensemble rehearsals
 and sectionals for rising 9-12 grade students and college-

 instrumentation. A joint concert will be presented with
 percussion camp students at 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 11, in
 the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont
 MusicBuilding.

Middle School Band Camp

* Description: Large-ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, theory

Keyboard for Kids

* Description: Singing and moving to nurture tonal and
rhythmic development of the child; and introduction to the
recorder to explore the breath control and fine motor
control necessary for instrumental study; and an hour each
day spent at the pianos, exploring the basics of melodic
patters, chords and music notation. Ages 6-9 years old.

The 1997 Delaware Aerospace Academy
* Location: UD and Delaware Technical and Community College

New Arc Academy
* Location: Willard Hall Education Building

* Description: This year's focus offers students a
scientific approach as they investigate different life forms
and how they interact with the environment to survive.
Sessions include instruction, use of microcomputers and a
presentation program for parents. For students in grades 4-

Employee welness center

UD Youth Wellness Camp
* Location: Newark campus
* Dates: June 23-27
* Cost: $125, discount for additional children/siblings

* Description: A fun-filled day camp focusing on the
promotion of health/wellness in youth. Includes such
activities as nature hikes, swimming, rock climbing, hiking,
nutrition information, art and photography. Conducted by
UD's Employee Wellness Center for grades K-6.

Summer College
* Location: Newark campus
* Dates: June 21-July 26
* Cost: Tuition: $1,275, in-state; $2,750, out-of-state
Application fee, $15
* Deadline: April 15
* Requirements: Students in the top 15 percent of their high
school classes with an A or B average
* Instructors: UD faculty

* Description: A residential credit program for academically
advanced high school juniors. Students enroll in two
courses, from among eight choices, and earn a maximum of
seven college credits. Limited class size. Experience
college academic and residence life.
