Dancers on Mitchell stage Sunday
The Lula Washington Dance Theatre will perform at 4
p.m., Sunday, March 9, in Mitchell Hall as part of the
University's Performing Arts Series. The 10-member company,
founded in 1980 by Lula Washington, has been called one of
the country's premiere African-American arts institutions.
The ensemble showcases demanding choreography and a
singular blend of African, modern and ballet techniques.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the box offices
of the Bob Carpenter Center, Trabant University Center or
Hartshorn Hall or by calling Ticketmaster at 984-2000.
