Personal attention
     Three individual sessions, each lasting 45 minutes, are
offered to acquaint employees with the Employee Fitness
Center's equipment and assist with their individual
workouts.
     The program is designed for individuals who are
interested in one-on-one assistance and will be offered at
anytime during the center's regular hours: 6 a.m.-7:30 p.m.,
Mondays through Thursdays; and 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Fridays.
     Cost is $35 Wellness Dollars.

Video library
     Employees who are unable to attend programs held on
campus can use a number of videos that are available on
various health-related topics, including such areas as
stress, asthma, menopause and weight loss. Videos are
available for three days and are delivered through campus
mail. Cost is $10 Wellness Dollars.

                           Lunchtime topics
     The Employee Wellness Center has scheduled a number of
lunchtime programs for employees. Participants may bring the
lunch.
     Preregistration is necessary for all of these programs.
     Cholesterol screening-Employees can participate in
cholesterol screening from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 5-6 p.m.,
Friday, Feb. 28, in Room 103 McDowell Hall. Cost is $10 cash
and $10 Wellness Dollars. To arrange an appointment, call
831-1437.
     High blood pressure-from noon-1 p.m., Tuesday, March
11, at a site to be announced, "High Blood Pressure-What Can
You Do about It?" will provide information on hypertension,
lifestyle modification and the long-term effects of this
illness. All participants will have their blood pressure
checked, and there will be a door prize drawing. There is no
fee for this program.
     All about AIDS- Do you know how to avoid getting HIV or
the initial signs and symptoms of HIV infection? What do you
know about testing for HIV or its treatment?
     These and other details about the virus will be from
noon-1 p.m., Monday, March 17, in Room 216 McDowell Hall.
Raymond Moderski, a registered nurse who has worked with HIV
patients and researched the disease, will be the speaker. He
also will answer questions from participants. The fee is $10
Wellness Dollars.
     Sleep seminar-Those who have trouble sleeping, who get
tired during the day and who don't sleep well will learn how
to improve sleep patterns and feel better at this program,
scheduled from noon-1 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, at a site to
be announced. There will be a door prize. There is no fee.
