            E-mail made easier for faculty-student contact
  
  Anew naming convention has been adopted for the e-mail 
lists that
enable faculty to communicate with their students. The e-mail 
list
name now includes the term code in addition to the course 
department,
number and section.
  The example below shows the name of the mail list for 
ACCT100,
Section 010, during the 97S term.
  
  ACCT100-010-97S@udel.edu
  
  - Term code
  - Section number (three digits with leading zeros)
  - Course number (three digits)
  - Department code (three or four characters)
  
  This convention will let users utilize the lists at times 
other
than the current semester. During the current (97S) term, 
lists from
the previous (97W) and next (97J) term also will be 
available.
  Currently, both list names with and without the term code 
are
accepted. List names lacking the term code refer to the 
"current
term." After the end of the spring 1997 term, list names 
without the
term code will no longer be acceptable.
