A reception to showcase Special Interest Communities on
campus, which allow UD students who share a common interest to
live together, will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the
Ray Street C Lounge.
Members of the University community are invited to meet
representatives from each of the 10 current communities, who will
share information about their groups' activities and objectives.
Tours of the Ray Street residence halls will be provided,
and food and beverages will be served.
Active communities during the 1996-97 academic year are Das
Deutsche Haus (German), Farmhouse (agricultural), La Maison
Francaise (French), Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanities,
Impact: The Service Community, The Lyceum (debates and
discussions), Music, Round Table, Schwarzkopf Leadership
Community and Technology.
Students interested in joining an existing special interest
community or in starting a new one must submit a supplementary
application to Housing Assignment Services, 5 Courtney St., by

Applications are available at that office.
