Education Partnership Task Force will hold open meeting
The Education Partnership Task Force will hold an open
meeting for the University community from 3-5 p.m., Wednesday,
Feb. 19, in Room 140 Smith Hall.
The task force was appointed by Provost Mel Schiavelli to re-
examine the relationship between the University and the public
education community in Delaware and to make recommendations to
the provost on how to improve this relationship.
Specifically, the task force is seeking suggestions about
how to strengthen the University's role in improving pre-K
through 12 education in the state, in partnership with the
educational community.
The open meeting will provide members of the University
community an opportunity to put forward their ideas about this
important topic.
The task force is co-chaired by Roberta Golinkoff,
education; and Jeffrey A. Raffel, urban affairs and public
policy. Members include Dan Boulet, engineering; Nancy
Brickhouse, educational development; Heyward Brock, arts and
science; John Cavanaugh, admissions and graduate studies; Marion
Hyson, individual and family studies; Dene Klinzing, human
resources; Paul LeMahieu, Delaware Education Research and
Development Center; Sandra Millard, library; James O'Neill,
