The new mobile highlights marine science and was designed to
entice youngsters to learn more about marine life and the high-
tech tools that marine scientists are using to explore the sea.
The basic design is composed of three concentric circles
that rotate freely on the same axis. Several sea creatures are
highlighted. They include the humpback whale, bottle-nosed
dolphin, loggerhead turtle, sand tiger shark, moon jellyfish,
giant squid, tubeworms and horseshoe crab. A page provides
information about each sea creature and the descriptions are
understandable to children as young as 10 years of age.
The mobile may be purchased by mail for $7.95 ($5 plus $2.95
for shipping and handling). To order, send your address, with
check or money order payable to "University of Delaware," to the
Marine Communications Office, University of Delaware, Newark, DE
