Holiday help from Dining Services

During the recent holiday season, members of Dining Services
raised more than $1,000 worth of items for the "Adoptions from
the Heart" program. Employees purchased nonperishable food items,
household cleaning supplies, toiletries, educational and fun
toys, clothes and other gifts, which were then given to help
support the families.
According to Duane Clark, Dining Services, "We are proud to
be a member of the University community, and we show it through
our various charitable donations throughout the year. I was
amazed at how much we were able to generate through this and
other programs, and I am proud of our team for helping out in
this way."
Dining Services also donated food and time to support the
Newark Business Association Christmas tree-lighting ceremony. Hot
chocolate, cookies, cider and other items were given to those in
attendance, and the staff of Dining Services helped serve the
refreshments. Dining Services also was involved in a UNICEF-
related, fund-raising program during 1996.
