Health info available by phone

Information on health and nutrition, provided by UD
dietitian Marianne Carter, is as close as your telephone,
courtesy of Phone Files, an information service provided through
Files Marketing Inc.
Phone Files is the first interactive phone service in the
tri-state area that allows callers the ability to search and
retrieve information according to their specific needs.
Callers receive customized information 24 hours a day
regarding personal and business issues through simple, basic,
easily accessible technology-the telephone. The five primary
areas are the Interactive Yellow Pages, Interactive Classified
Ads, the New Business and Invention Hotline, the Comments and
Suggestions Line and the Children's Hot Line.
A new sixth service, the Community Hotline, provides
information on area events, activities, health and nutrition-the
last provided by the UD.
Carter said she was contacted by Files Marketing Inc. and
asked to provide the nutrition-related information. Her five
reports are changed weekly.
The company is monitoring the number of inquiries each file
receives and will make decisions about the continuation of the
services periodically.
To check out the UD portion of Phone Files, call 777-4440.
Press numeral 3 for the Community Hotline, and then repeat
numeral 3 for the UD Nutrition Hotline. Under this category,
there are five separate tips, and the voice mail service will
recite all five weekly tip categories available. The free service
is in operation 24 hours a day.
     For information, call 777-4441.
