Follett stores' gift
Follett College Stores, which now manages University
Bookstore operations, recently presented a check for $1 million
to UD, in recognition of the University's renovations to
bookstore facilities over the last three years.
When Follett College Stores enters into a cooperative
agreement, it usually commits funds for major renovations and
facility modifications to bring the operation up to store
industry standards.
In the University's case, Barbara Kreppel, administrative
services, said, there was no need to do so because of the quality
of recently competed renovations. "This saved Follett College
Stores time, money and, most importantly, allowed the bookstore
to continue operation and remain accessible to the public," she
said.
