Michael Gamel-McCormick, individual and family studies, was
appointed to the Delaware Interagency Coordinating Council for
infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families.
Joan L. Brown, foreign langauges and literatures, was
elected to a five-year term on the executive committee, Division
of 20th-Century Spanish, Modern Language Association of America.
Ken Haas, sociology and criminal justice, was appointed to
the editorial board of a new journal, Homicide Studies.
Elyse Stoner, athletics, was elected chairperson of the
America East marketing committee.
William Markell, Arthur Andersen Alumni Professor Emeritus
of Accounting, has been reappointed to the U.S. International
Qualification Appraisal Board, a committee responsible for
developing criteria and standards for granting reciprocity to
professional accountants from other countries to practice in the
U.S. and for U.S.-trained professionals to practice in other
countries.
