Library offers borrowing service

The University of Delaware Library provides full-time
faculty with borrowing privileges at more than 180 institutions
that participate in the Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program.
This nationwide network allows faculty members of
participating institutions library borrowing privileges and
on-site access to the collections of some of the most important
research libraries in North America.
The program is designed to promote and facilitate scholarly
research and communication among members of participating
institutions.
A Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program brochure, which
includes a list of current participating institutions, is
available. Materials may be used on the premises of the owning
library or may be borrowed, depending on the policies of the
lending library.
The program is sponsored by UD, along with other members of
the Association of Research Libraries, which are online to OCLC,
the Online Computer Library Center in Dublin, Ohio.
To obtain a Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program brochure
and/or program card, contact Joan McManus at 831-2231 or via
e-mail at Joan.McManus@mvs.udel.edu
Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Cards are issued for a period
of one year, are not transferable and are available only to
full-time, continuing UD faculty.
