Call for proposals for Geis conference

     The Geis Student Research on Women Conference, a program to
provide recognition of student excellence in research, will be
held May 1.
     The conference is open to all students, male and female,
whose topic of research is women or gender-related issues.
     Entries may be in the form of critical essays based on
library research, as well as reports of findings in social
science research. Group-authored projects are acceptable.
     All proposals will be reviewed, and acceptance will be based
on excellence and relevance of the research to women and/or
gender issues.
     Accepted papers will be presented orally. Proposals are due
March 10, and the deadline for receipt of papers is April 7.
     The President's Award of $150 will be given in each
division, graduate and undergraduate, to the presenter/author of
the outstanding paper.
