Fitness center hours
     The Employee Fitness Center will have a modified schedule
during the holiday season. The center will be closed from 4 p.m.,
Monday, Dec. 23 through Thursday, Dec. 26. It will be open from
11 a.m.- 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, and Monday, Dec. 30. The center
is closed on the weekends, and it will be closed Tuesday and
Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
     The center will reopen Thursday, Jan. 2, and resume its
regular schedule, which is 6 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Mondays through
Thursdays, and 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Fridays.

Garage availability
     The parking garage on Main Street will be closed Saturday
and Sunday, Dec. 21-22, and from Tuesday, Dec. 24, through
Wednesday, Jan. 1.
     It will be open from 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23; and
from 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Jan. 2-3.
     It will be closed Saturday, Jan. 4.
     The garage will resume its regular schedule on Sunday, Jan.
5, when hours will be 5:30 a.m.-1 a.m., Mondays through Fridays,
and 7 a.m.-1:30 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays.

Vita Nova schedule
     Vita Nova, the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional
Management Program's student-operated restaurant on the second
floor of the Trabant University Center, will be closing after
lunch on Friday, Dec. 20. It ended its dinner service for the
semester last evening.
     Normal business hours for lunch, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.,
Mondays through Fridays, will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Dinner
service, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesdays through Fridays, will
resume on Thursday, Feb. 20.
     Luncheon space is very limited for the rest of this
semester, and callers are being placed on a waiting list.
     Reservations are being accepted for dates in February.

Library exam hours
     University library hours during the fall semester
examination period are 8 a.m.-midnight, Mondays-Thursdays, now
through Dec. 19.
     Extended hours are 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13; and 9
a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14. The library will be open from 11
a.m.-midnight, Sunday, Dec. 15.
     On Friday, Dec. 20, the last day of examinations, hours are
8 a.m.-7 p.m.
     Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-
5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, and until 8 p.m., Tuesdays.

Arts Alliance market
     The Newark Arts Alliance is sponsoring a "Holiday Art
Market" in the Main Street Galleria from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday
and Sunday, Dec. 14-15. Creations by 18 juried artisans will be
available for sale.
     Jewelry, pottery, stained glass, photography, art furniture,
sculpture and clothing will be available.

Gardener training
     Master gardener training programs are accepting volunteers.
Interested individuals can participate in a number of different
services, ranging from providing telephone assistance to
maintaining display gardens. Training sessions begin in February.
The application deadline is Dec. 31.
