AudioNet delivers Blue Hen sports using the Internet
The University of Delaware and more than 80 other
institutions across the country have agreed to allow AudioNet, a
Dallas-based Internet broadcasting company, to broadcast the
college sports programs throughout the world.
Listeners can link directly to the listen page on AudioNet's
web site at http://www.AudioNet.com/schools/ udel/
To listen to the Blue Hens basketball and football games
live, users will need RealAudio software, which is available to
download free-of-charge at the AudioNet web site:
http://www.AudioNet.com/
AudioNet will broadcast the live, play-by-play of the
Fightin' Blue Hens and more than 80 other NCAA teams. In
addition, AudioNet will offer pre- and post-game shows, weekly
coaches' programs and teleconferences previously available only
to print and broadcast media.
According to Mark Cuban, AudioNet president, "Until AudioNet
came along, alumni and fans who live outside the broadcast signal
area of their universities were out of luck when it came to
listening to games, because they were unable to pick up the radio
or TV broadcast. But, AudioNet has changed that. Now, no matter
where alumni and fans live, they can listen to the live play-by-
play of the collegiate and professional teams through their
personal computer and AudioNet."
