Walk-along service expanded

     Walk-along escort service has been expanded by the
Department of Public Safety in anticipation of the large number
of students, faculty and staff using academic facilities in the
final weeks of the semester.
     The service is available after dark from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. in
the central and east campuses where student security aides will
be available to walk students and staff to bus stops, parking
lots or residence halls.
     Students and staff wishing to use this service should call
831-2222 or use any blue light emergency phone.
     This service complements the University's evening campus bus
service and public safety's policing efforts.
     This is a pilot program and, depending on its use, may be
expanded in the future.
