Red-Out Day
     National Red-Out Day is being celebrated on Tuesday, Nov.
26, in an effort to increase public awareness about safe driving
during the heavy traffic holiday season.
     Red-Out Day also is the official kick off for Drunk and
Drugged Driving (3D) Prevention Month, which is observed annually
during the month of December.
     Individuals are urged to wear red clothing on Nov. 26 in
support of the efforts to increase public awareness and reduce
highway tragedies.

Cosmo Club party
     The Cosmopolitan Club will hold its end-of-the-semester
party from 10 a.m.-1 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Border
Crossing. Admission is free for members and $3 for guests.

Library hours
     Library hours for the Thanksgiving recess are 8 a.m.-5 p.m.,
Wednesday, Nov. 27; closed, Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 28-30; and
open 11 a.m.-midnight, Sunday, Dec. 1.
     Special Collections and the Exhibition Gallery will be open
from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, and closed Thursday-
Sunday, Nov. 28-Dec. 1.

Garden line
     The Delaware Cooperative Extension Garden Line is moving to
its winter schedule. Clients with questions about home lawns,
gardens and pests may call 831-8862 and leave a message for a
Master Gardener volunteer.
     Calls will be returned between 9 a.m. and noon, Tuesdays.

Toys for Tots
     The University Bookstore is sponsoring a Toys for Tots drive
through Dec. 2. The program, run by the U.S. Marine Corps
Reserves, provides holiday gifts for children who might not
receive them.
     Donations of unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the
Perkins Student Center or the Campus Shop in the Trabant
University Center.
     The gifts will be distributed over the holidays to local
hospitals, churches and welfare agencies.

Talk to Santa
     For the second year, WVUD radio will host an Interview with
Santa. The hourlong program-at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 22, and 7
p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24- will feature questions for Santa from
both children and host, general manager David Alperson. The
program also will feature holiday music and a reading of The
Night Before Christmas.
     All UD students, faculty and staff are invited to have their
children or siblings submit questions, along with the child's
name and age.

Garage hours
     During the Thanksgiving break, the University garage will be
open from 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27; closed Thursday
through Saturday, Nov. 28-30; and open          7 a.m.-1:30 a.m.,
Sunday, Dec. 1.
     The Visitors Center and Russell Complex pay lots will be
open from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27; closed Thursday
through Saturday, Nov. 28-30; and will reopen from 7:30 a.m.-
10:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1.
