Eating healthy
Master food educators of Delaware Cooperative Extension have
scheduled an "Eating Healthy for the Holidays" program from 7-9
p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the New Castle County Extension
Office, 910 South Chapel St., Newark.
The program is free and open to the public. Participants
will learn how to prepare foods with less fat and sugar, along
with techniques to make traditional meals more healthy and to
keep pounds off. To make a reservation, call 831-1239.
Garage hours
During the Thanksgiving break, the University garage will be
open from 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27; closed Thursday
through Saturday, Nov. 28-30; and open 7 a.m.- 1:30 a.m., Sunday,
Dec. 1.
The Visitors Center and Russell Complex pay lots will be
open from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27; closed Thursday
through Saturday, Nov. 28-30; and will reopen from 7:30 a.m.-
10:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1.
NSEP grants
The National Security Education Program (NSEP) provides
opportunities for Americans to study in regions critical to U.S.
national interests-excluding Western Europe, Canada, Australia
and New Zealand. Undergraduate students are eligible to enter the
merit-based compeition.
The application deadline is Feb. 3.
