Blue Cross/Shield expands laboratory imaging network

     Effective immediately, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware
(BCBSD) has added a number of network providers for laboratory
and imaging services.
     In addition to LabCorp, the current preferred lab provider,
participants may now use SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories
and St. Francis Family Care Centers.
     SmithKline Beecham has a special arrangement with MedLab,
which will serve as one of the "collection sites" for lab work.
In other words, participants can visit a MedLab site to have
blood drawn and sample collected, which are then forwarded to
SmithKline Beecham Clinical Labs for testing.
     Current preferred imaging providers include The HealthCare
Center at Christiana, Papastavros' Associates Medical Imaging,
Mobile Mammography of Delaware, St. Francis Hospital, Kent
General Hospital, Beebe Medical Center and Milford Memorial
Hospital.
     New providers recently added to the network include
Christiana Imaging Center, Diagnostic Imaging Associates, St.
Francis Family Care Centers, Women's Imaging and X-Ray
Associates.
     With the expansion of these networks, BCBSD participants
will enjoy greater choice for their diagnostic lab and imaging
services.
