Virology Study Section of the National Institute of Health,
Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Research
Grants for a term that ends June 30, 2000.

     Linda Hughes, educational studies, is a member of the
strategic planning team for the Avon-Grove School District, West
Grove, Pa., and served as co-chairperson of the Association for
the Study of Play annual meeting in April in Washington, D.C.

AWARDS
     
     Roxane Whittaker, Cooperative Extension, received the
Distinguished Service Award from the National Extension
Association of Family and Consumer Sciences for leadership,
outstanding programs and personal and professional growth. At the
regional level, Whittaker and Maria Pippidis and Mary Wilcoxon,
Cooperative Extension, received the Dean Don Felker Award for
their financial management/counseling series for social workers
in New Castle and Sussex counties.

     Ivo Dominguez, foreign languages and literatures, received a
certificate of achievement Oct. 26, following his guest lecture
at the annual Social Security Administration Hispanic Heritage
Week celebration.

     Michael Arnold, economics, received Economic Inquiry's Best
Article for 1995 Award for his paper, coauthored with Steven
Lippman, titled "Selecting a Selling Institution: Auction Versus
Sequential Search."
