Superdrag will perform in Trabant Center Nov. 22

Superdrag, a Knoxville, Tenn., quartet that blends a '60s
pop song sensibility and white hot noise to make manic rock, will
perform at 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, in the Multipurpose Room of
the Trabant University Center.
Opening the show will be Kristen Barry and 30 Amp Fuse.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 8, to all UD students,
faculty and staff with UD ID, and there is a limit of two guests
per ID.
Ticket sales open to the general public on Friday, Nov. 15.
Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for faculty and staff and $10 for
the general public and will be available at the box offices in
the Bob Carpenter Center and the Trabant University Center.
Superdrag recently made its major label debut with
Regretfully Yours, a 13-song disc on Elektra. Last year, the band
released a seven-song compilation, The Fabulous Eight Track Sound
of Superdrag, which prompted a critic in CMJ to write, "Just when
indie rock was beginning to lose its beguiling charm, Superdrag
has arrived at a near perfect amalgam of fuzzy guitars, sincere
scruffy vocals and tightly wound melodies."
The pop foursome includes John Davis (guitars and vocals),
Tom Pappas (bass), Brandon Fisher (guitar) and Don Coffey Jr.
(drums).
The Nov. 22 concert is supported by the Student Center
Programs Advisory Board (SCPAB) and the Comprehensive Student
Fee.
