Choir auditions
     The Department of Music will hold auditions for University
Singers and the Choral Union from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7,
in Room 208 of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. For information,

Rental available
     A University-owned rental home is now available. The unfurnished
house, at 300 Ashley Rd., has two bedrooms, one bath and a living
room. Rent is $630 a month. The lease arrangement is especially
favorable to new faculty or staff moving into the area, since the
lease can be terminated if and when the tenant purchases a home.

Library hours
     Regular hours for the Morris Library through Nov. 26, are 8 a.m.-
midnight, Mondays through Thursdays; 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-8
p.m., Saturdays; and 11 a.m.-midnight, Sundays.
     Special Collections and the Exhibition Gallery are open from 9
a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The library will be open during regular hours on Election Day,
Tuesday, Nov. 5.


Book club meeting
     Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Mu Pi chapter, will hold the first
meeting of its monthly book club focusing on literature written by
African American women at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the Warner
Hall lounge.

Garage hours
     Regular fall hours at the parking garage on West Main Street are
5:30 a.m.-1:30 a.m., Mondays through Fridays; and 7 a.m.-1:30 a.m.,
Saturdays and Sundays.


BSU meeting
     The Black Student Union will hold a general meeting from 6-7:30
p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, to discuss its fall agenda and to elect a
recording secretary and the freshman class representative.
