Salaried staff are able to apply for jobs electronically
A new electronic form, available for use by salaried staff
employees who wish to apply for open positions listed on the
University's "Hotline," is now available, according to Robert Martin,
assistant vice president for employee relations.
This new online form, which is the latest of the University's
paperless forms, will help in the development of an on-line
application process for external applicants, he said.
The new form can be found in the MVS "Employment-Salaried"
bulletin board, along with employment opportunities.
To use the form, an employee must have already on file in
Employee Services, an up-to-date (less than one year from last
revision) salaried staff applicant information form and resume.
For confidentiality, confirmation of the job application will be
sent to the employee only via e-mail.
For MVS users:
* Access "Bulletin Boards" from menu options;
* Type "Employment-Salaried" at the Srch/Ord: prompt;
* Select "L" for letter;
* Press F5 then "U" to 'useform' and complete, using the tab
key to move from line to line,
* Press F4 to mail.
For UNIX users, logon to either strauss, brahms or chopin.
* Type your login name and password.
* At the prompt, type in "ezforms /opt/lib/staff-internal-appl,"
complete the form and return to the Employee Services mailbox
via e-mail.
While employees are encouraged to use the form to make
applications, they also may call Employee Services between 8 a.m.-5
p.m., Mondays-Fridays.
