Coaching honors

     Bob Hannah, head baseball coach, has been named Division I
Eastern Region coach-of-the-year by the American Baseball Coaches
Association (ABCA)/Diamond Sports Co.  Along with seven other regional
coaches throughout the country, Hannah will be recognized at the ABCA
national convention in Nashville, Jan. 4-7, at the Hall of Fame/Coach
of the Year Banquet.  He has been named ABCA regional coach of the
year five times in his 31 seasons at Delaware, and he was recognized
as North Atlantic Conference coach of the year for the second straight
year in 1995.
