UD moving to Airborne Express

     Airborne Express has been named the University's carrier of
choice for overnight courier service, after negotiations resulted in
the firm offering the most reasonable price for the services.
     Under this service:
        * Next day delivery is guaranteed by 2 p.m., and usually will
          be delivered by 10:30 a.m.
        * Airborne Express will pick up at individual campus
          departments until 3 p.m.
        * Two Airborne Express drop boxes will be placed on campus.
          One will be near the Campus Mail office and the other at a
          site to be determined on the central campus.
     A trial 60-day trial period has been initiatied to help with the
transition. Questions about the shift to Airborne Express or
departments interested in being involved in the test group should be
directed to Lisa Shakespeare in Supporting Services at 831-2151.
