Students invited on shuttle bus test run Sept. 3

     The new bus shuttle service will have a preliminary run to
familiarize students with the new schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 3,
starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending with the last pickup for the Late
Night Express.
     All riders will be given a coupon for a free fountain soda at the
Trabant University Center food court. The regular fall schedule will
begin on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
     During the summer, UD Transportation personnel reviewed  the
results of a spring survey and redesigned the bus shuttle routes to
provide improved service.
     New bus schedules will be available Sunday, Sept. 1, in residence
halls, in the Trabant University Center, Student Services Building and
at Public Safety. The schedule also will be posted at key campus
locations.
     In addition to the four day routes there also are two evening
routes one late night route and one Saturday shopping express They all
are designated by both color and name for easier identification.
     On two of the heaviest routes-Laird (Red route) and South (Yellow
route) campus-two buses will run. Drivers will stop only at designated
locations to keep the buses on schedule and to improve safety. Riders
should not try to flag down buses.
