Garage hours
     Hours at the parking garage on West Main Street have been
scheduled for the return of students and faculty.
     The current schedule is 7 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30; 7 a.m.-8
p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31; 7 a.m.-1:30 a.m., Sunday-Monday, Sept. 1-2.
     Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, regular fall hours are 5:30 a.m.-1:30
a.m., Mondays through Fridays; and 7 a.m.-1:30 a.m., Saturdays and
Sundays.


Library schedule
     The Morris Library will be closed from Aug. 31-Sept. 2, and will
be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3.
     The Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery will be open from
9 a.m.-5 p.m. on  Sept. 3.
     Regular hours, from Sept. 4-Nov. 26, are 8 a.m.-midnight, Mondays
through Thursdays; 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturdays;
and 11 a.m.-midnight, Sundays.
     Special Collections and the Exhibition Gallery are open from 9
a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays.


Temporary help
     The Purchasing Department has entered into a contract, effective
June 1, 1996, through April 30, 1997, with Kelly Services, which takes
the place of Casey Employment Services.
     The new outside temporary employment service is located at 110 W.
Commons Blvd. #202, New Castle, DE 19720. The Kelly Services contact
person for UD services is Pamela Dorsch, branch manager, at 323-1560.
     This contract is available for those times when Blue and Gold
Temps are not available. A unit in need of temporary employment
services should first contact Mary Ann Guns in Employee Services at
831-2171.


Hosts needed
     The Office of International Programs and Special Sessions is
trying to locate families interested in providing a home stay from
Sept. 3-26 for several French graduate students from La Sorbonne
Nouvelle. Students are fluent in English, and families will be
compensated for their hospitality. Preferably, the host families would
be within walking distance of the campus or near public
transportation.

Dance lessons
     Beginning ballroom dance lessons will teach the swing, jitterbug,
cha cha, fox trot and other popular dances during 10-week sessions
from 8-9 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, beginning Sept. 10, 12
and 15, in Pearson Hall gymnasium. Intermediate classes also will be
taught from 7-8 p.m., Thursdays, beginning Sept. 12.
     Cost is $50 per person or $25 for all full-time students. Private
instruction is available for $20 per hour.
     The sessions are sponsored by the University of Delaware Ballroom

Nursing welcome
     The College of Nursing Alumni Association and the Student Nurses'
Association (SNO) will hold a Welcome Freshmen reception from 6-8
p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, on the second floor of McDowell Hall.
     Faculty and SNO representatives will meet with freshman nursing
students. Pizza and soda will be served.

D.C. shuttle
     The Washington, D.C., shuttle to the Library of Congress and the
Folger Shakespeare Library will begin operating for the fall semester
on Friday, Sept. 6.
     The service will operate on Fridays only. Reservations must be
