Banner contest shows UD spirit

     Students are invited to be creative, crafty and colorful and
enter the UD Homecoming banner competition to demonstrate a student
group's school spirit.
     The banner competition is an opportunity for student groups to
artfully demonstrate their loyalty to UD, according to Chris Cook,
coordinator of Greek affairs.
     There is a $20 fee to enter the competition to cover expenses and
the cost of the sheet to be decorated. Each group is allowed to enter
up to three banners.
     Winners will be announced at half-time during the Homecoming
Game. The winning banners will be displayed at  Delaware Stadium. All
entries will be hung on campus the following week.
      Registration forms are due Oct. 2, and banners are due by noon,
Mon., Oct. 9, both at the Office of Greek Affairs, 401 Academy St.
