Information on and about the Internet is changing faster than the
burgeoning Internet book industry can print new editions.

Here are five examples of periodicals to help you stay current:

internet World. Reviews new products and Web sites. Discusses Internet
issues and technology in general terms. Extensive features on
educational, marketing and recreational uses of the Internet.

NetGuide. Reviews new products and Web sites. Discusses Internet
issues in general terms. Includes some material about Prodigy,
CompuServe and America OnLine. Lots of "short" reviews of lots of
sources of information.

Online Access. Aimed at users of Internet, CompuServe, America OnLine,
Prodigy and other online service providers. A lot of good information
about the Internet and very extensive coverage for other services.

Wired. The Net meets MTV. The Web and the Internet are part of the
environment in which Wired assumes its readers live. Technology and
popular culture are fair game for this magazine.

Classroom Connect, published by Wentworth Worldwide Media, is an
excellent example of a new trend in publishing about the Internet:
focused periodicals. This one is aimed at educators of students in
grades K-12 and includes pointers to information and complete lesson
plans. More and more discipline-specific newsletters like this one are
being produced.
