Back in school
On opening day Sept. 6, youngsters in the College School, housed
in the College of Education, welcomed a new director, Jeanne Geddes-
Key, and enjoyed a new playground installed behind the Willard Hall
Education Building. Geddes-Key is shown here with some of her young
charges at the playground's dedication. Affiliated with the University
since 1988, the College School provides an alternative education
program for children with normal to bright intelligence, ages 6 to 13,
who are experiencing learning difficulties in a traditional school
setting. With small classes and individualized instruction, the
College School works to help these children return to the mainstream
in a few years' time.
