Fall reception
     The Campus Diversity Unit and the Latino Caucus are sponsoring a
reception for all new undergraduate and graduate students from 3-5
p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, in the Multipurpose Room of the Trabant
University Center.
     A resource fair will be held during the reception to provide
information about various campus units and organizations.
     Any unit interested in participating should contact Liane
Sorenson by Aug. 19 via e-mail at Liane.Sorenson@mvs.udel.edu


Homestays help
     Homestay families are needed for English Language Institute
programs, particularly for one program involving a group of male, mid-
level Korean managers through Nov. 1. Families will be well
compensated for their hospitality, and short-term opportunities are
available.

Sidewalk sales
     Two days of Summer Sidewalk Sales will be held by Newark
merchants during regular store hours on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 16-
17.
     The event, sponsored by the Newark Business Association, will be
held along Main Street and in the Newark Shopping Center and will
feature food, clothing, antiques, toys and other merchandise offered
by association members.
     Special discounts will be offered by some participants.

Library hours
     Through Aug. 30, the Morris Library and all branch libraries will
be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays, and closed Saturdays and
Sundays.
     The Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery will be open from
9 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays.


D.C. shuttle
     The Washington, D.C., shuttle to the Library of Congress and the
Folger Shakespeare Library will begin operating for the fall semester
on Friday, Sept. 6.
     The service will operate on Fridays only. Reservations must be
made, in advance, by noon, Thursdays.

Fitness hours
     Hours for the Employee Fitness Center have been changed.
Effective immediately, until Labor Day, Sept. 2, the center will be
open from 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
