Safety Expo set for Sept. in BCC
     The Delaware Safety Council is presenting an "Industrial and
Safety Expo" Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 11-12, in the Bob Carpenter
Center.
     The event will feature exhibits, workshops and certificate
programs.
     Workshop are $25 per session, certificate programs are $50 or
$150 each.
     Registration must be made by Aug. 29. Call the Office of
Occupational Health and Safety at 831-8475 for registration forms and
information.


Music, comedy events in center
     The University's popular Comedy Tuesday and Music Thursday series
will continue this fall in various locations at the new Trabant
University Center. The events formerly were held in the Hen Zone of
the Perkins Student Center, which is closed for renovation.
     Doors open at 8 p.m. for all events, which begin at 8:30 p.m. All
are free and open to the public.
     The September schedule includes The Verge, in concert, Thursday,
Sept. 12, in the Multipurpose Room; Comedy Cabaret Inc., Tuesday,
Sept. 17, in the theater on the lower level; and The Joy Poppers, in
concert, Thursday, Sept. 26, in the Multipurpose Room.
